Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know what was the torque used to tighten the lugs when putting a wheel back on, for an FD3S...?

I have been searching on the forum for a while but couldn\'t get my hands on the info...

Could anyone tell me which is the recommended torque (in m.kg or N.m) to use?

Thanks a lot!!!:cool

I normally go for about 75 - 80 ft lbs on all cars, tight enough to race on and still loose enough to kick off if you get a puncture.

Think that comes in about 100 - 110 nm.
Montego Blue 94 R2 FD3S... Bling not included.

I was always advised around 85-90 ft-lbs, hope thats right! :Giggle

It\'s worth buying one of those 99p ebay CDRoms to get all this kind of info.
The mazda shop manual says 89-117nm (66-86ftlb).

Quote from: rico2k_uki put it as tight as i can. :)

Not the best idea in my opinion...:chat

weejimmy

very bad thats why wheels fall off
if its too tigt they snap under stress / strains

benRX7

Too tight is as bad as too loose. If it doesn`t snap a stud/studs it can crack the wheel itself

Mazda FD Owners manual says,

90 to 120N-m
or
65 to 87 ft-lb

Hope this helps
All the best Clive
