I just bought a rx7 s2 1987 year with 53k miles on for old times sake as I had a series 1 in about 1989. its a bit of a minter really and sound all round. I plan to keep it for a few months to a year and then sell it at about £1990 ish (would that be about right for a exceptional one?)

My question is the handbrake is high - whats involved with adjusting it?
Thanks

Also are there any haynes/workshop manualls on these beasts?

Handbrake adjustment is easy, I did mine on my old series 1. had the same problem. Unclip the vinyl surround on it and look next to the base, theres a flathead screw there. adjust that, and you\'re away! if it doesn\'t work too well, the cable may have been stretched from too many handbrakies, or having the handbrake on while car was in storage. Thats how mine got stretched.

Haynes manual is a must, easy to understand, and covers everything.

There is a small screw on the handbrake surround - you need to undo that before you can get it off (without snapping the screw mount :) ).  Adjuster is easy, right there on the right hand side at the front.

You can get the service manuals in pdf format on quite a few of the US RX7 sites - it used to be on 1300cc.com, but it\'s been dropped from there now :( - still a good site for 2nd gen.  I\'m sure someone posted a link up to a site with all the manuals on here recently.
