Over Revving

Just taken my FC out for a spin and noticed it seams to be over revving almost like the choke is on. When it is cold I start it up and it revs to 3000rpm and settles down to 2000 rpm which is normal. But when I put in gear it revs right up to 3000 rpm. When it\'s warm it idles around 1000 rpm but when i put it gear it revs up to 2000 rpm and I can drive it with out having use the throttle at low speed but as soon as knock it out of gear it returns to normal idle speed. Seams a strange problem, any ideas?

Could this be something to do with the wax pellet? If so where is it and can it be replaced?
