Hi, Does anyone know if these are available for a \'89 EGi?

Brett

No chance on the lexus lights (and frankly we would have to hunt you down if you  tried it :Giggle ) but you can get a parcel shelf from a Turbo II.  TO make it fit you will need the rear speaker covers from a TII and the gas struts to hold the lifting cords. (But I\'m sure you could bodge that if needs be)

I\'ll give the lexus lights a miss then!:Laugh  I\'ll have a look around for TII parcel shelf. That\'s only annoying thig about the FC is the fact you can\'t put anything in the boot without everyone seeing what\'s there! I am going to try and keep my FC as original as possible I think. Be nice to have an example factory condition. Although I am not not knocking those who modifey them.

Brett

Cool :)

Whats the spec/history of your egi then? :wave

1989 Series 5 Uk Car. Red, with colour coded rear spoiler, black wing mirrors, grey leather interior and door cards which is quite good nick apart from the drivers side bolster wear (i\'ll get some liquid leather to rectify it). The body work is mint with no dents or rust. When i got it had a faded bonnet and sunroof but sorted that out now. It\'s covered 63k with good service history and mot\'s to back it up. Engine seams ok, pulls and revs well, no smoke etc. Oil pressure is a bit low (35psi at 3000rpm) maybe the pressure switch. No problems with starting etc. Paid £650 a couple of weeks ago.

Jobs to be done:- Few electrical gremlins, rubber at the bottom of the front bumper needs securing, rear diff, gear box and coolant change (when I can get access to a ramp!) New brakes as it was stood for a while. New rear boxes as the ones on there are corroded although not blowing yet.

Brett

THe rubber to which you refer is a common problem - if its one of the side peices then you will find its actually rusted away inside. (They have a steel insert that tends to rust like fury)

Yeah that\'s what has happened by the look\'s. It is currently held on by zip ties! Just went to get some paint from Halfords and they had to order it as it is led based! Can\'t believe a car that late still has lead based paint.
