My sidelights stay on constantly even with the lights turned off, anyone have any ideas what it could be before i go hunting?

If it\'s an FD, check the TNS relay in the slam panel relay box

ttpower

Just throwing this one in as i screamed blue murder after i had an alarm fitted as mine did exactly the same! but the guy when i took it back told me "oh i found a switch that had been added" the jap had put switch just below the steering wheel that turns the sidelights on o.0

i dont know WHY you would want a switch that automaticaly turns the sidelights on when you turn the car on, but he had it setup that way.
I woof in your general direction.

it doesnt no, thanks for all the help people. Checked that tns relay, and it seems when i pull it out its fine, the relay it self looks damaged, can i use the air pump relay as a spare as i dont have one any more, i noticed it has an extra pin though, where would i get this tns relay from?

When i bought the car the radio wires were all cut out but at that time it seemed ok!

Draco

give tim at rxmotors a ring sure he would have some relays instock

ttpower

cool, will do, what does that tns relay control anyways??

andysmee

sidelights, dash lights, rear tail lights. You\'ll get stopped without it

You can use a standard automotive fuse to bypass the relay - it happens to fit in the pins you need. Just take it out when you switch the car off.
