Bit of a weird one this and only happens occassionally.
Basically when I launch my FD my brake light on the dash comes on for a few seconds and then goes off.  Thought it was a bit weird a I dont touch my brakes during this time and my handbrake was definately off.

Have you checked the fluid level? It may be sloshing around, causing the low level switch to trigger?

Mimus

The handbrake light? Mine seems to come on during acceleration and sometimes just sticks on. Haven\'t checked it out yet, but I think mine is just due to some give in the sensor connecting even though it\'s not actually on.

Thats a gforce meter, as well as a low fluid level light ;)

In all seriousness, I have the same "feature", not worried about it though.

I think Mave is on the button with that answer.

Checked brake fluid before I drove back from Essex on sunday night and all was well it was about 2-3mm below max so dont think it would be that but a long as its not causing any grief I\'ll jut leave it be.
Thank for the replies guys.

You\'ll probably find its a tempramental switch

Thats not the case in my instance of this problem, I\'ve checked that.

Ooh get you  :Thumbs-up

Could it be caused by the belts slipping a bit when you launch, the reason i say this is my old FB had this issue when the belt was too loose.  I know its a much older model but they may have kept the same warning system.
