Hey all,

ECU is back in and car is working (yay!)

But... car failed to start and found it was the battery almost drained after being sat for 3 weeks.

I took it out for a drive for an hour but had to have side lights and wipers on due to bad weather.

Drove to work and when leaving discovered my battery was flat again.

Question is do I (probably) need a new battery or should a charge be ok?
No idea how old the battery is other than I have had the car 1 year nearly.

If I should get a new battery and suggestions what I am looking for?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Edd,

I put a new battery in it just after I got it, so its coming up to 3 years old now.   I would give it a good charge and see if it holds it.  If not, bin it and get a new one!

Get a new battery before you flood it.
Depending on your circumstances, see if you can fit a continuous trickle charger. ( Hamilton classics)
Gives you much more confidence when you turn the key.
