Right lets clear a few things up here.....................

IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO ALTER MILEAGES !!!!!! but as someone has already pointed out it only becomes an offence when the car is sold on knowing the true miles and not stating the true miles to the new owner.

As i do this for a living as i own Digidash Northwest and before you all start calling me fit to burn the majority of my work involves transfering the original miles of a vehicle to a second hand or brand new cluster as clocks are like any other component on a car they malfunction and need replacement.:yes

Now as far as the REX 7 \'s concerned its a one off beast in the mileage recalibrating world it can\'t be changed in the usual way in the eeprom or micro like most vehicles. You can\'t use the original data set and change it from that you have to have stacks and stacks of data sets with as many different miles on as you can then pick the nearest one to the customers request and reinstall that back to the chip the only advantage is we accumulate another data set (the data set we saved in the first place) which could be useful to a different customer.Which explains why the pricing is all over the place as some will have data sets coming out of their ears and others will have to buy them in,but most won\'t touch the REX 7 as there just not worth the hassle for the money as there such a pain of a thing in that respect...........................

Hope this clears a few things up..........................:Thumbs-up

I think thats basically what i meant, you need another set of data with the miles you require.
