Viscous Fan replaced with Kenlowe?

Had an idea, dangerous sometimes i know. Has anyone with a cosmo tried removing the viscous coupling from the front of the engine and replacing it with maybe a single or double heavy duty Kenlowe fan?
 
Thought that by removing said fan it may decrease the inertia on the engine and improve throttle response etc.
