Ive been looking at changing the suspension on my FD to try and improve the handling and also give a better ride qualtiy as the current suspension is very hard.

Ive been looking at different coilover kits but alot of sites have other parts related to suspensaion and i dont really know which parts would be useful to get and what they do etc, so if someone could explain to me what they do and if they are wirth getting, thanks.

Here are the bits:

Toe Links
Trailing Arms
Sway Bars

Any other parts worth looking at aswell?

Thanks

Trailing arms and toe links will be a good mod. The aftermarket ones have less overall flex in them than the stock mazda ones.

Sway/antiroll bars are a must you will love the results after fitting a set the car will feel much more stable an perposeful through corners.

other things you could look at:
POWERFLEX bushes are another good one
Diff and gearbox brace
Hard tie rods on the steering rack
lower brace bar

Sweetie, before you go mad on the suspension, I recommend you buy yourself a book called " how to make your car handle " by Fred Puhn.

The parts are all designed to work together , and modifying one thing usually has an effect on something else, so it would help to understand all the parts, what they do, and why you are modifying them.

sounds like a good idea, you could keep going forever upgrading bits and spend loads of money and im mainly using the car for normal road driving and the odd track day.

Cheers for the info and the suggestion guys :wiggle

bushes and roll bars would be a good combination and a good starting place for you for sure

sounds good, im gona save up and buy some decent coilovers, was thinking of buying some megan racing ones cause they are cheap:

but thought i might just save up a bit more money and buy either prob Tein SuperStreet or GReddy.

Also am looking at buying the Superpro bush kit they have a group buy on in the US
