rx7 boot bulb

I only recently realised the rx7 boot (FD) has a light. This must have gone years ago, does anyone know what bulb size replaces it?

lol i was the same! I reckon 80% of FD drivers buy their cars with a blown bulb thus never realise the boot has a light. I *think* its at the top of boot lid when u open it u can see it. Mines a 93 car so if mine has it i am sure yours has it.

they do have a light. i leave mine switched off though. i found it wone day and thought COOL......... it is quite handy though. will try and have a look at bulb tomorrow for you

They don\'t all have a light! I haven\'t.

Also, my bro\'s 94 has a dimmer for the dash lights but my 96 doesn\'t

Rob,
That\'s cos your car is a later model like mine and it has been "enhanced" by the light being deleted. My \'97 RS didn\'t have a light, which was a pain. I bought a tailgate trim with a light off of Fleabay. If anyone is breaking an earlier FD they will have one too.
I got Rotechniks to fit it. I hate taking trim off. Always break the clips cos I don\'t know how to do it cleanly and then the trim looks a mess.
I and Rotechnilks both assumed that the wiring for the light would still be there and wiring it would be simple.
Silly boys.
No wiring there. Gary at Rotecniks had all the rear seats and trim pulled out to hook into the existing wiring near the passenger door.
I was glad I didn\'t even start that job.
Well, Got a light now. Its manual. The light has its own switch. Don\'t leave it on. Now looking in the boot is not like looking into a coal cellar.

What about this wing???

Hi Martin,

The wing is for my brother, he hasn\'t renewed membership yet so hasn\'t been able to contact you himself (plus he lives in Gateshead)

Hopefully we can meet up at a show or meet soon as he definitely needs it.

Obviously if someone wants it in the meantime we won\'t be offended if you sell it. He will have it off you at some point though for sure.

ok its the little capsule type bulb with pointy bits either end. the numbers on it say - 12V 8W the bulb is made by Toshiba..

ok here is a pic to get you an idea of size!! (how good am i eh!!)
