Hi all

I don\'t know what the part is actually called, but the metal pipe that comes from the steering rack, goes to the front of the car in front of the rad, goes across the car and loops back again.

I think it reciprocates the fluid from one end of the rack to the other.

Mine is rusty and has emptied the contents of my rack onto my drive.

Does anyone know where I can get a good used one (Mazda dealers want over`£100) I need to get the old girl working for a track day and there\'s a list of stuff to do.

Cheers

Sounds like the same part I was asking about a few days ago. The power steering fluid cooling pipe. I have been told that you don\'t actualy need it you can just reconnect the end to the pump. I will stress this is just what I have been told and I have not tried it myself yet.

No reason why you cant get a new pipe made up, any decent brake or tubing specialist should be able to make up a copy of the part for very little cost :)

Thanks guys

I didn\'t realise it was for cooling.

I think I will see if someone can fabricate one for me.

Nik, I know Jimmys has one (much cheaper than main dealer) but I\'ve just spent more than my car cost at the dentist so I will try to find the very cheapest option.
