Quite a simple question really. Not about the actual installation of the gauge itself. But more about the installation of the gauge sender. I will be doing this by the fitting of a water temperature sender sleeve that fits into the top hose of the radiator.
I have the choice of 36mm, 38mm and 40mm diameter sleeves. From what I have measured, not sure how accurately... the outer diameter of the radiator top hose on my FD twin turbo (1993 UK spec) is 46mm. Does this sound about right?

And which sized sleeve would you recommend using?

Thanks,
Kyle.

grinder

it should be 38mm inner diameter

if you look on //www.fc3s.co.uk ( shameless plug ) you will see how i did it on the FC

or have a look in the 2nd gen section on here in the stickys at the top called MODS and there is more of a write up on there and prices for what i paid

hope this helps ( ish )

Tiger, be aware, if the thermostat fails, this gauge is meaningless.

I\'ve actually got a Sard cool running thermostat to install at the same time as the gauge. That\'ll help I reckon.
