Battery / starting question

Hi all,

Just found my battery to be completely dead...it\'s not reading more than 6V so it needs replacing.

Anyhow the question is: do you think a new battery from a newish 1.2L Corsa will be enough to start an FD and keep it ticking for 10 mins or so while the oil heats up so I can empty it?

Also anyone recommend any good batteries? Optima? Battery is being relocated to the passenger side bin.
