Where\'s my bloomin RX8???

Hi! This is my first post on the site! I should be picking up my 230bhp black RX8 on the first of March but......

I was tol dby the dealer a few weeks back (Lythgoe in Bolton) that they get an estimated landing date (in other words when the car gets to the UK) 3 weeks before it lands. I haven\'t heard a word from them yet and its now the 13th of Feb, 2 weeks 3 days before I should be picking it up and they have a lot of extras to put on it before I get it off them!

Does anybody else have any similar tales? I am definatelly worried that it will be late. I\'ve sold my old car (mini cooper) and have provisions for a car upto the 1st of March, after that if my new motor isn\'t there I\'m stuffed. What are the chances of Mazda bending over backwords to try and sort this out?! Next to non I\'d say! Why is that car dealers seem to live in a different world to the rest of retail?! I know I wouldn\'t ignore my customers.

Have you tried going in person to the dealer & putting some pressure on? Guess it\'s not just down the road & equally i have no personal experiance with the car eliment of it but usually with suppliers you will only get what you want if you put pressure on & if yer in their showroom with potential customers about they will be foolish to try & fob you off/pish u about, not that i\'m saying they are or that you should go in all guns blazing http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/349.gif\' border=0> but can\'t hurt to try & get a straight answer from the horses mouth.

It will be in the country on the 10th and I\'ll have it on the week commencing the 15th, only 2 - 3 wks late!

any chance of them giving you a courtesy car from the original delivery date to whenever car is ready, or is that a bit hopeful...?

Yes... it will finally arrive on Thursday, I can\'t wait, i am feeling so impatient! I willpost pictures as soon as....

Oh so amazing, the noise, the feel, he leather, the 230Bhp, i could go on...!

bare in mind I picked it up yesterday, today it starts snowing!

Its not too heavy but not what I wanted to keep it clean, it is black!

..... j just had a drag from some traffic lights against a merc sl55 AMG he beat me off the line (his would of been an automatic) but couldn\'t beat me..... oh this is a fast car!
