I only get 7-8 psi on my second turbo.  It\'s consistent, and it\'s been the same ever since I got the car about 6 weeks ago.

I\'ve had a good look at as many of the intercooler and vacuum hoses as I can without major dismantling.  I\'ve also checked the wastegate control and turbo precontrol solenoids are connecting round the right way.  Connecting them the other gives around 4psi on second turbo.

I was wondering about temporarily capping the charge relief valve to see if this will give me full boost.  If this does give me more boost, will this show the problem lies with the charge control actuator?  Before I blow my engine trying it, will the BOV still stop me getting too much boost?

Any advice appreciated!

Engine specs are (as far as I know):
Pan Speed stainless down pipe
HKS filters
ARC intercooler
HKS hard pipes
Big unknown exhaust
Standard(?) cat (With small blow)
Pan Speed modified ECU

Hi There

I have the same problem on mine. Found a procedure somewhere to quickly convert to non-sequential, which, in essence, you are trying to do (Iwas going to do that next). I suppose this would at least verify that the Turbos are good if you got full boost. I will keep looking around, might be on my PC somewhere.

Just tested the two solenoids are working and they\'re fine.  Still haven\'t tried capping the CRV yet.

I\'ve got 4 pipes in the rats nest that don\'t have vacuum hose on them.  Is that normal, or has the setup been changed?

Here\'s a good place to start (trying) to understand the whole thing!

Hi Martiny

Thanks for the link.

I think this bit says it all:

"First of all realize that this is not easy. I’m an FAA certified Aircraft Mechanic and I found myself getting frustrated more times than I want to admit"

I see why people don\'t hesitate to go single turbo...

I\'ve also had a good look at the turbo trouble shooting pages on http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-7/rx7stuff.htm

I think what makes it harder is that I\'m trying to fix a modified car and therefore don\'t know for sure what\'s meant to be as shown in the diagrams and what isn\'t.  Maybe the four pipes without hoses mean it\'s been simplified?

Not giving up just yet!

Ah, hold on a minute.

There is a blank pipe somewhere for Auto box, and I think I have a few others blank, too but its correct.  Theres is a coloured diagram somewhere which makes it a bit easier.

Well, I spent ages checking loads of bits and couldn\'t find anything wrong.

I gave up and gave it to RE:Worx, who diagnosed a blocked tailpipe (collapsed internally)

Just been told it\'s now wheel spinning in 2nd in the dry and producing 12psi on first and secondary.  Can\'t wait to pick it up this evening!
