Hey guys and girls, i noticed the other day when my lights go up they make a loud clicking noise like plastic snaping. I wondered if it was a locking mechanism to stop them coming up at speed, but it is loud.

Thaks for the help

Why don\'t you open the bonnet and stand in the front checking the lights while someone else flips them up and down, then you may be able to see if it\'s catching on something or noT!
TRex the Ecowarrior - Recycling exhaust gas and using it to create energy. Just doing my bit

Perhaps there catching on something on the way up? Mine did at first when I removed and re-installed them....needed a bit of adjusting.

Although if you havent messed about with them not sure why it would suddenly start doing it

gmogle

Yeah mines done that also, scraped the paint nicely off so I have a couple of white bits lol

Deffo check to see if it does it with the bonnet open.

ive checked but i cant see any thing. i\'ll investigate further!!

Best way is as mentioned above ^^^^ the plastic brackets are renouned for becoming brittle with age, mine did this and ended up being the rear bracket had cracked and resulted in the cover flying off on the dual carriageway one night, so definately worth checking into mate.
