been out in the car last night and today with no probs. got in this eve and the car started fine then started to run ruff.

went on a short drive into town 10 mins or so but even wen warmed up was running like a complete dog.then suddenly cleared and was fine.

called round a friends garage luckily he was still there sat there idling and was sounding ruff again. i took a look at the apexi and the temp was dropping and as it did the car ran rougher. eventually reading -20 at this point the car wouldnt run or re start. we checked all the wiring could see no issues in the engine bay. we checked the voltage at the temp sensor was stable 4.75v checked temp withit unplugged on apexi stayed the same. shorted across the terminals it stayed the same. decided to check the ecu wiring wiggled a few connectors and the voltage dropped at the sender. it also made the apexi go a bit loopy.

i am guessing that this is an issue with the wiring to the ecu but as it has an apexi fc power i was wondering if anyone had had a similar problem or am i going to just have to check every wire to try and track this down.

i am completly:reallymad :reallymad :2Rolleyes   cos the car has covered about 300 miles in the last 4 days and has been faultless.

all sorted.

after a while tracked it down to a single connection in the ecu which wasnt very good (with the help of the sensor read out on the apexi control unit) i cleaned it and the plug which has sorted the very poor running.

after i had done this whilst out on a test run the apexi control unit kept freezing and would not re boot to give details. i tracked this down to one of the pins being very slightly bent (prob due to the ecu being moved around so much looking for the other fault) i made sure all the pins were clean and in the correct position and sorted that out aswell.

so fingers crossed and back to giving it some beans :burnout :burnout
