Hey fellas..

Im curious how your Ganador mirrors bolt in to your FD? Are they bolted down from inside the door OR from outside? If from outside, are the Ganadors pivotable like OEM mirrors?

Im just waiting for my pair to come through from Japan.

thanks dudes!! :cheers

The mirrors will bend back which is a safety feature i think in case you hit something with them, but they are on springs and do not pivot like normal ones.
They are attached with two bolts from the INSIDE of the door and are an absolute nightmare to get to! Best way is to remove the speaker so you can get one hand up inside the door, then use a torch and peer in through some of the bolt holes to try and do them up, its not easy!
They do use the stock mounting points though and are fantastically made, my next car will definately have a pair on it :)

thanks heaps for your advice Dandan....geez, ive tried putting my arm in the speaker hole but could only manage up to my wrist.

Is there another way I can get my arm in there? Or is there another panel part that I can remove to gain more access?

Right about now im just staring at this plastic speaker hole which is also 3/4 open.

Rixio

I tried to fit mine a while back but im pretty sure they dont fit on the stock mounting holes, either that or i cant fit them :o

Will have to try again tmrw now :)

D CUPS

thanks Rixio! Please let me know how it fits.

Im confused, stressed out of how im supposed to put my arm inside the door.

Rixio

Well im skinny so i can put my arm up from the window gap area...i dont know how they do other ones in Japan...or how you tighten the nuts without the aid of a spanner or rachet! Hows the car coming along then? Did you find the lens covers for the front?

D CUPS

LOL....im a skinny boy too. But my wide wrist wont let me get any further up.

I may have to cut \'something\'.

Car\'s going great, I will take some pics of it soon as I get the Ganadors bolted on. No lenses at the front yet, I dunno where to source those from.

Rixio

There was a guy making them on rx7club but not sure who, saw it a few weeks back...

I\'l have a ganador ahem gander at the mirrors tmrw:p

D CUPS

Thanks again Rixio.....i\'ll browse through the U.S forums too.

Ive asked everyone here in OZ, and no luck about the Ganadors, because no one here has them on there car LOL.

There was an article on DIY fitment of Ganadors in the RX7 Magazine, but not sure which issue and not that I can read Japanese anyway hehe.

D CUPS

Hey Rixio!

My mate told me that the whole speaker panel unit comes off....not just the speaker itself...PHEWEE.....hopefully when that whole speaker panel is off I can put my whole arm and leg in there hehe.

memski

Yes its true, a right bugger to fit but well worth it. Make sure you tighten the screws properly!

AndyGen3

Hmmm gonnna do mine the weekend.. Hope i dont have this much trouble as i loose interest dead quick!! :wiggle

dandan

Rixio I know yours will fit on the stock mounting holes, because they are the ones i sold to you!!!
You can give them back to me if you cant fit them, i\'ll give you £10 including postage? :p

I remember it being hard enough getting them off let alone putting them on, and I had the door off the car too which made things easier.
