gearbox plop

evening all,
 
Ive been having a little difficulty (again) with my gearbox/clutch. i removed the engine fixed a few bits and put it back in. But while the engines been out i cant move the gearstick now at all any ideas, its stuck in neutral under were 5th is.  surely it should always be able to move about even tho its not attached properly to the gearbox. could i have damaged something while jacking up the box?
 
Also i used 2 bolts to attach the plate to the flywheel. i put my foot on the clutch and they came out now i cant find the little buggers, looks like its engine back out.

gear box broke while the car was on the drive lol. new gearbox, sorted, missed Oulton park yesterday
