i was just thinking, im not using mine, i have the sensor plumbed in to the filler neck now, after fitting the v mount.
the sensor had a 1/8 thread. i had the adaptor on the top hose of the rad, but the guage only started to read when the thermostat opened.

Sorry for the late reply, only just seen this

You can either put the sendor in the top water hose ( 38mm i.d.) or as has been said, use one of the allen key bungs in the thermostat housing
All the best Clive

oo never thought of using one of them

ok ordering time and even more cash lol

does this ever end?????????lololol

Mikey I am gonna to be installing my water temp gauge this Friday (as well as oil temp and oil pressure gauges). I\'m going to install the sender in the thermostat housing by removing the allen bung by the coolant cap. Will let you know how i get on!

If you can find a t-piece with a 1/8npt adapter small enough you could place the sender in the throttle body hose (i think the hose is just 12mm). I couldn\'t find one anywhere in diy or plumbing places. As Clive advised the rad top hose is easy enough.

mikeyh

yeah think ill just put it in there(rad cap)
cheers guys
