california or canadian car?????

:confused: my mate was looking at the wiring diagram of th eFD for me as hes going to help me sort out why my rear indicator has stopped working. He phoned me up after looking through the diagrams and asked if my car is the canadian or californian model. I havent got a clue what hes on about but he said in the manual it states there were 2 systems inplemented to control the lights? is this right and if so which one do i have??

also, where the did those names come from?

I\'m not sure about having two different systems, but the likeyhood is that you have an american wiring diagram. So that\'s why it\'s important for the distinction. In california the emmission laws are very tight so there were differnces but I believe these were mostly to do with the emission control and possibly "running lights"(?).

I would be surprised if there are any differences in the indicator (or flashers as they call them), systems, to what car you probably have -either UK or Japanese.
There must be someone on here that knows for sure.
