Just fitting waterinjection and need help,It is the coolingmist from tuning uk.It says fit the part to the boost source. Is that the small pipe going into the air filter. Second how do you set the watercooling to come on at a set boost say at 7 bar, thanks.

I guess the part your referring to is the boost pressure switch that comes as part of the kit - if so, then this needs to be plumbed into one of the pipes that sees the boost pressure - such as the pipe going to the MAP sensor.

If it\'s the same part I have, as I also have a cooling mist kit not yet fitted, then the pressure switch has an adjuster on it, which allows you to set the pressure the switch is activated at. There is a small gauge on the side - not very accurate, but will give you an idea of the setting.

Hope that helps,

No gague on the side of my preasure switch just an allen key fitting on top, is that it. I still have no idea where the boost switch goes so has anyone got a photo where it goes and what revs should it kick in.Thanks.

Ooops - my bad - I have a deluxe kit which has the blocked nozzle detector switch - this is the one with the gauge on !

The boost switch is just a black microswitch with a vaccuum nipple on it.  Underneath is a small nickel hex key, turn this clockwise to increase the pressure the switch triggers at, and counter clockwise to reduce the pressure.

BTW - you don\'t want to trigger WI on revs, as when you decelerate you still have RPM on the engine, but the throttle plates will be closed - you will be filling the pipe between the throttle housing and cold side of the intercooler with water - not good !:Nono!

I have attached some photos showing the different switches and a hookup diagram (boost switch is first, then clogged switch) :

Where do you put the boost switch.

Had WI fitted by Wav and it works a treat mate,

its deffo a good mod to have, just make sure once done you top the water up asap as so it doesn\'t run out, here a pic of the setup might help, the white pipes are for the WI and pump is in the middle next to the catch tank:
