Idle Problem

Recently after a good spell my fd has occured some sporatic fualts, the car had been running fine however recently the following has occured:

Sporatic boosting problems- it starts to boost at .7 then drops to .5 then rises to 1 when the second turbo licks in. This occured after replacing a split boost pipe not sure if thats linked? Held .7 before it split the intercooler piping! could this be because i drove the car home for 10mile with no boost? (does the ecu need reteaching or would that not do anything)?

High idle- the car since today wants to idle hunting between 1500- 3000 when u put the lights on it will hold it at 3k or higher still with a little bit of hunting it makes it undrivable.

Rev counter N/W- sometime randomly works then stops do i just need a new one?

sounds like a boost leak.  obviously you fixed one by replacing the pipe, but are you sure there isn\'t another leak, and that everything was done back up tight?  i had the same symptoms for ages and after a trip to re-works it turned out to be a loose collar on one of the hoses :rolleyes: .  
 
as for the idle, what ecu are you running, and have you tried resetting the ecu (think it\'s disconnect battery then hold one of the pedals down?).
