im having a lot of water sprinkling out from underneath the car when i rev and cant locate wher it is exactly.
i know that there are the water hoses that feed into the turbos but could anyone tell me wher exactly they are as i dont know to much about the engine bay? pics would be good.
as cant drive it at moment need to try and at least work out what the problem is.
any help would be good not having much luck with the car recently 1st the headlight caught fire and burnt through the loom, then renewal quote now this hopefully can only get better

Hi matey, had same problem on my car. Good news is you can get to them with the turbo\'s in situ, but it\'s a tight fit. There are two coolant pipes going to the Tub\'s.

the lower is situated off the bottom of the water pump, have to remove Air pump, air filter/piping, then you should see it tucked in there on the lower coolant rail of the tub, it\'s about 3" long \'L\' shaped coolant hose. Buy genuine Mazda pipes, as these slide straight into place and are the correct size/shape (brought both from mazda dealer for £14!) i have also popped a thread on here about 3mnths ago with all the part numbers for the coolant pipes in the FD, so the mazda dealer don\'t have to take chasis number and then say to you \'Sorry sir the computer could not locate that chasis number!\'LOL).

The upper of the two is located near the top of the water pump and leads straight behind where the Y-Pipe fits onto the intercooler elbow. So i had to remove the front section of the Y-Pipe, to gain access.

really sorry but don\'t have no pics, but once you strip it down then you will be able to see it the coolant pipes semi easily. Another thing you will have to check is that the metal coolant rails on the tub\'s have no got hair line crack\'s in them (this was what actually had gone on mine), then i\'m affraid it is a strip the tub pack off job\'e. Which i left to the pro\'s and £500 quid later, for a coolant rail that cost £20!!LOL.

Hope this helps and here\'s a pic some1 sent me of the tub\'s when removed from the car, they clearly show where the coolant rails are so should point you in right area.

well strated the engine up and let it run then gave it a bit of a rev as this is the only way to get the water leaking and wanted to trace wher it is. thought i found it but not to sure if it is a water pipe of just the water dripping down onto it. but really cant see anything and its really starting to **** me off guys so and help or anyone in the surrey area with knowledge of this HELP please lol. one thing i know is that its definately external so this is good right, well better than internally?
ill try get some pics of the area that im looking in or wher i think the water pipes are not 100% sure though. is the air pump etc easy to remove?
any help please need the car back on the road been without out it now for a month had to the replace wiring loom, so ne1 need help on that just ask lol.

Right mate, is this leak your talking abouting coming from down by the Actuator? doe\'s it look like a fine spray or constant drizzle.

It sounds like you\'ve got a hair line crack somehwere, now what i used to locate my leak was my mates coolant system pressure tester and just kept pumping it up until i could locate the leak.

The best thing i\'d say do is post some pics of the suspect area and i\'l high light where the coolant pipe is for ya.

Cheers Stu

P.S the Air pump is quit easy to remove.

hi mate well im gonna get out there today and hav another go at loctaing it. it only drips out until you rev it, then its like a sprinkler for a few mins.
wish me luck im guessing thta if its not a split in one of the plastic pipes the its a more serious job that someone will hav to do?

Well lets hope it\'s just the coolant pipe! worth changing them first as no point in sending it away to get fixed, when you can do it at home. If it is the metal coolant rail them i would def say specialist job mate, unless your good with motors.

Good luck and try to get some photo\'s of the suspect area, i\'m already pretty sure i now where it is.

at last found it didn take to long removed air pump and could clearly see it a little tear in the pipe luckily just the rubber one so a little call to mazda for the new part an all should be well fingers crossed. ill post some pics up later but havn got digital camera at the moment.
stu was it you who reordered these parts from mazda do u hav the part numbers please?

 :p

Here ya go matey, http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23546 all coolant part numbers your ever need. When you call mazda just say you need part number \'watever one\' and then they don\'t have to go through all that chasis number stuff and make sure ya get some good jubilee clips.

Glad to see you\'ve found it.
