Bought some smoked side indicators from Ebay, time to fit them now.
Do you have to remove the inner wheel arch lining to get to the back of the existing lights to prize them out, or can you slide some thin plastic (like a credit card) between the wing and the existing indicator to pop them out ?

I\'m sure plenty of people have changed theirs before.

Cheers for the help !

you should just have to push them towards the front of car (not 100% which direction it is anyone wana confirm that & it being the same for both side?) as like most it\'s just a clip on one side so i guess you should be able to pull one side away from the wing almost & then just move away......
Not 100% as i say i got my bodywork bloke to do it before they started painting car but that\'s as i recall & sure aint a full on job...... http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_1_14.gif\' border=0>

Job Done !!

Gave them a gentle push towards the front (for the Drivers side) and rear (for the passenger side) and they popped out. I think one had been put in the wrong way, I think they should both be pushed towards the front.
Anyhow, new smoked lenses in ! Now all I\'ve got to do is sort the awful US orangey things out. Best bet without spending a fortune is to turbo light them I guess, unless I paint them the colour of the car.

Is it possible to remove these too, or are they glued in ????

Cheers Gents.

Those orange things are a bit more of a bugger to get at. (I assume you mean the bumper reflectors.)

Haven\'t done it myself but I understand they\'re secured by a screw inside the wing.  Once that\'s off they will pop out.  You can get access to this if you remove the wheel arch lining.

A few others have laquered them to appear smoked and that looks pretty good on the black cars, or you could paint them the same colour as your car if you reckon you can match the colour.

The other options are to replace them with clear ones.  2 types, with holes for lights from the US, or pure reflectors from Japan.  Us about 100-150 (I think) and Japan muchos £££\'s for what they are.

Or.... get an aftermarket nose put on.  :D :D

Cheers. Silver car so black turbo lights won\'t look too bad, will match the rear lights and windows once I get them tinted. Defo not happy to spend several billion quid just to replace them. Saying that spraying them silver might look quite nutty, rear ones too (which just screw off).

We\'ll see. Cosmetic mods before Santa Pod on 10th Oct methinks.

Cheers.

Old thread revival alert!

With regard to spray painting the front bumper side reflectors on a black car, will any old black spray paint do or would I need to match it properly?
