has anyone bought trim off this guy before? i was interested in the carbon fiber or aluminum trim, but im not sure what it would look like in the rx?

mine really does need refurbing because of all the scratches and if this looks good, id rather just get this and then just refurb the gearbox surround

Is that the dash surround kits from America. If it is then don\'t bother as the fitting on them is rubbish (and they don\'t look that good). There was someone selling complete parts in carbon a while back but not seen lately (they were a bit more pricey though). If your after carbon I think Rotaryart (link at the top of the page) will cover the original parts for you but not sure of the cost.

Cheers

naa its not from america, its a uk company --

not particularly after carbon fibre, but id choose that or the aluminum.. i just wanted something to replace my scratched plastic:)

I\'d recommend against it, looks like the same company to me. They were mailing from US when I bought mine about 18 months ago. Have you thought about painting the dash yourself. Easier than it sounds and the results can be pretty good. I ended up doing it when the kit I bought didn\'t fit properly and it looks good even though i\'d never done any spraying before. Have a look at this link, there is also a guide to removing the dash in a link about 3/4 down the first page

Hope that helps

Mine came as a full replacement part. Took the old dash off, replaced it with the new one that already had the carbon fibre effect on it. Good quality, and no hassle with sticking stuff on - cos it was already on there.

I think the carbon effect looks great, if done properly. Both RX7\'s I\'ve had, have had this on them.

so you bought this carbon effect from this seller? you got any pics?

gadj

Yep, check out my for sale advert. They\'re on there.

anthony

you sure its the right seller, as this one does not sell the gearbox surround part? as yours has it :)

gadj

What seller are you talking about? As mentioned in my for sale advert, I got mine from Freddy (Transcars). It came as a full replacement part. Means you get a much better quality finish as someone has already done it for you - rather then you just trying to stick transfers on the plastic.

I\'ll sell you my one if you want. Price is £10.5k, and I\'ll throw in a free car ;)

gadj, the one i put in the link above = http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MAZDA-RX7-1993-1995-WOOD-OR-BRUSHED-ALUMINUM-DASH-KIT_W0QQitemZ4628740041QQcategoryZ52640QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

is that freddy selling them on ebay then?

freddy can you drop me and email with prices?

gadj

ah, sorry, cross purposes. No its not Freddy selling them on ebay (at least I doubt it).

Freddy is the guy who owns Transcar Imports - which is in the vendor section. I think he said my ones were imported from Japan. He did say at the time they were expensive and didn\'t think they were worth the money, but I insisted, cos I think they really do give the interior a nice finish.
