Hey people,

I just picked up my RX7 yesterday and i\'m well chuffed with it! The only downside is the clutch is slipping pretty badly!

I have got a new clutch that the guy has given me, I just need to fit it. I assume its just like any other rear wheel drive clutch to fit?

Any advice would be great! Is there anything I should look out for, or is it pretty easy?

Cheers

its easier to do on a ramp.

Drop the gearbox out,  remember its a pull type so you need to unbolt the clutch from the flywheel through the inspection hole.  There is another way to detach the clutch but i cant remember..... I\'m sure someone will point you in the right direction.

While you are there check the rear main seal for an oil leak as its a good time to replace and its only a fiver.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

cool - i\'m desperate to get it done as I haven\'t been able to drive it properley yet! I have to drive like a granny beacuase of this dang slipping clutch...

i assume its an FD?,  with a ramp you could do it in a couple of hours if you dont have any problems and an extra set of arms.

Not sure it\'s a \'92 if that helps...

I\'ve really gotta read up on all this! I just sold my Supra to get my RX7... Should have done it sooner!

92 onwards should be an FD3s (twin turbo) 3rd Gen etc.  2nd Gen is an FC3s.  Clutches are a slightly different type
