Guys,

Posted a while ago some problems I am having when accelerating then letting off and going again.

Anyway ripped out all the induction kit to check this is ok and all the hoses round the boost controller are connected tightly, not cracked etc.

Then I undid the bolts holding the pressure chamber in and lifted it up to see under the plenum.

Anyway I can see 2 hose connections that arent connected to anything. I know there is one that goes vertical for manual cars that you dont worry about but these 2 are both going horizontally to the right.

Here is a pic and the 2 hoses in question, remember this is looking underneath the plenum (although thats not taken out) from the front of the car.

Are you able to tell me what these are and where they should connect to ?

Looks as if I will have to take the plenum off to have a proper look but if anyone could help I would be most appreciative.

Cheers
Gareth

p.s. fingers crossed this is whats causing the problem !!!!

Spending some time looking at the vac hose diagram it looks like it could be the Connectors that go down to the Solenoid valve that is the EGR one.

I have no idea what this is or what it does?

Anyone able to help ?

Ah, just read on the site that no EGR connections is normal..damn back to the drawing board.

There is a pipe that has no connection either end under the plenum, and that looks like the one.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

Those aren\'t connected on mine either, someone said it was something to do with automatic cars?

Cheers for the replies,

I have taken a few more bits off in the engine bay area.

Have come across a kinked vac hose, could this little hose be causing me all my grief !!!!!

Not sure what it connects to as I havent taken the inlet plenum off yet. I am planning on doing that and testing all the solenoids.

Here is a pic of the kinked hose.

Tbh though I suspect it will be the Turbo control solenoid as explained on Dave Disneys site:

Fingers crossed, feel like I am getting somewhere. Next job ordering the Viton hose and also taking the inlet plenum and rats nest out.
