Just walked home after having to leave the rex at side of the road
problem being the clutch changed down into second to go around corner and clutch just pushed all the way and stuck to the floor, can pull it back out with foot. spoke to a friend and he said to check for leaks so opened the bonnet pushed clutch in and fluid shoots out the top. bit dark out so couldn see to well.
wot does this sound like to you experts, will it be costly etc? and anyone wann help me fix it lol or is it job for specialist.
cheers guys let me no asap really dont wanna leave car wher it is.

It sounds like the pipe from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, this happened on mine, is the clutch fluid comming from near the throttle body, if so there is a pip that runs vertically from the firewall to the side of the rotor, its about 25 quid for a braided stainless steel one.

Freddy

Follow the pipe under the circled area to check for any leaks. Attached is a picture of the hose also.

Freddy

Also check the fluid level.

just managed to get a torch and hav a look and the picture you have ringed is exactly where it is split it seems. an this is wher the fluid leaks from.
so all i need by the sounds of it is a new hose? wher can i get one from?
and will i need to take it to a garage to be fitted?
cheers

Most of the venders stock the pipe required, you will probably need to jack the car up to bleed the clutch as well !

REworx kindly put one in the post which I received the following day, not a big job to do, just make sure you have some fluid and an automatic bleeder [oh err :D ] a second pair of hands are quite usefull for the bleeding [or should I say feet :yes ]. Job is easier from below, so axle stands are quite usefull.

Surrey would meant that reworx would prob be your closest tuner shouldn\'t cost you anymore than 30 quid its pretty easy to change but fiddly so take your time and shaun is right your gonna need to bleed the clutch from the slave cylinder which is on the side of the clutch if you follow the pipe down it will go to the slave cylinder.

ill give them call tomorrow morning then. problem is car is not at home at side of road, so not gonna be possible to work on it there
could get a tow home only about 5 mins away. but to be honest i would not hav much idea about changing the hose so if anyone in the area that would be willing to help please let me know guys. and i hav no jack etc
