stereo question

Hello gents,
just a quick one about the stereo.

My imported rx7 came with a panasonic stereo that is restricted in bandwidth when listening to the radio.

My question is: is this restrtiction in the headunit/stereo or is it in the wiring of the rx7.?

I have bought a new headunit and was wondering if i need the bandwith expander or not.

i think the bandwidth is restricted in the headunit its self, not 100% sure tho

Yep. If you\'re putting a UK stereo in, it will work as normal. You can get band expanders for Jap stereos. They\'re only about £10. And I\'ve still gotta get one for mine, but just haven\'t got round to it yet!!!!

TBH, i actually quite liked my head unit, double din panasonic md and cd player in one head unit :InLove
Only problem was that the face doesnt come off, and its not worth my car being broken into cos my stereo is glowing a beautiful blue :flamed  lol

That\'s the only worry I have with mine. I have an Alpine Double din CD/MD system. Although I have a decent Toad alarm, & it\'s not easy to "rip out" as it\'s screwed in. It\'s pretty hard to see it once it\'s dark if you\'re trying to look inside, too. So I guess it\'s pretty safe.
