...I\'ve had problems, first was a boost leak, but I removed the blanking plates and resealed them and now there\'s no leak, but boost seems low. it was at 0.8, but now it reaches 0.5 at WOT then jumps a little to 0.6 where it is stable.

I have normal acceleration in first, but when I change to second, there is NO boost, i found this while going down the slip road. Once on the M way, it seems ok crusing, with nothing irregular, but in 3rd an 4th when I put my foot down it seemed like there was a lot of lag, andnot much boost in fact none from the 2nd turbo. then when I let off, the BOV went off a little quieter than usual, and a second later there was a weird sound, it went "WOOOOOOOOW" don\'t laugh! It really did!!! it sounded almost comical, an I thought my girlfriend was taking the **** at first!  then it did it again and again.I put it in 5th an slowly eased my foot down and although slower (obviously coz of the gearing) it pulled well and as I eased my foot down there was the kick from the second and it seemed fine.

But it\'s obviously not right! (duh) the only things I can think of is that I\'ve disturbed something while I had the plenum off. since all the pipes and attachments seemed to be made out of cheese, and almost fell apart when I touched them. I broke a non return valve, and an outlet leading to a non return valve. both of which lead back into the plenim just after the trottle body. since these were releasing air, I figured they could just as easily vent to atmosphere, so I left them as they were and blanked off the pipes where they would have returned into the plenum.

Now I know you all thinking "heavy handed bastard", but I really was carefull, everything under there just seems sooooo brittle!

But does anyone have any ideas? on the "wooooooooooow" (like a ghost noise you make as a kid lol), or can you tell me how vital the valves are to the running. I couldn\'t see exactly where most of them came from so I was a little worried???

Cheers

You cant vent the tiny green non return valves to atmosphere.
The small black box next to the plenum needs to pressurise

If one of the small pipes leading to it has disconnected.
You wont get boost from the second turbo. or second application of boost

Mine used to do this all the time after I changed the dump pipe and it got decent performance.
I\'d cable tie one.. then the next step in the chain would blow off.
Eventually there were cable ties everywhere.

thanks, just found that out, one can be replaced easily, but the other looks like the solenoid - double throttle control one, from looking at the diagram. this will be an arse of a job! anyone done this before, any tips or advise?
