Whats the box with pipe behind glove box

Guys,

While fitting my KCA alpine Ipod adapter I stumbled across a pipe that goes through the carpet in the passenger footwell side, it is connected to a box that sits behind and underneath the glove box. Anyway that end of the pipe was connected but the other was loose. Does water etc leak from it ? Basically when I took the carpet up it was damp round the area the pipe was loose from. I see there is an opening that the other end should go through on the firewall.

I have pushed it through and must say I cant smell fuel anymore, what is this pipe connection for ?

Sounds like you\'ve got the drain hose from the airconditioning unit it should exit through the bulkhead to drain under the car. Just poke it back through and make sure its secure.

Have done that now mate, Is that what its likely to be ? Havent used the Air con for ages and ages.

99% sure thats what you\'ve got there its normally a grey/black colour rubber hose but not the normal stiff fuel hose type pipe its a thin walled soft rubber pipe.
