Hi Dave,

If all else fails Tow start it, as there are times when they get so fuel ridden this is the only way.
All the best Clive

wel i had a play today and after 2 hours of psuhing and turning her over we decided to go with the tow start. This was also a bit tricky as, the revs would get up but there was no spark, luckily we slowed down and the car jumped itself and woohay enough smoke to make anyone high for the rest of their lives lol.

Its running fine, oil pressure is great BUT now im back to square one. The system tempormataly pressurises and then it doesnt. Its a pain in the ass.

Im not loosing water anywhere.
The car is starting fine first time with no issues.
Oil pressure is good
Engine temp is fine
Known good radiator installed about 500 miles ago.

What could this be?  A blockage somewhere?

Please help lol

Does the rad get hot?

Also have you tryed toping it up, then pull the pipe of the Expansion bottel and see if there is water being pushed out as it warms up.

rotary_rogersFC

the rad is not boiling hot but its hot, water is definatly passing through it.

the overflow is normal and has plenty of water in it.

Grizzly

can you touch the rad when its warmed up?

What i was meaning by the overflow pipe, if the rad cap is letting pressure out to easy there will be water being pushed into the Overflow bottle, so if you remove the pipe that conects the Rad and the overflow bottle run it up to temp and have a look to see if there is any water come out. There should\'nt be ! but its very common for the rad cap spring to go soft and not hold presure.

sounds about right, I have driven her today and pressure is up on the system so thats a good thing. However occasionaly the water light will come on. The temp gauge is fine though. I pull over and check the everything. The overflow isnt even warm. The pipes are all pressurised. Ill try topping the fluid up to see what happens. thanks

problem sorted, i opened the cap when it was luke warm, alot of air was released and i filled it up. That seems to have sorted the problem. cheers for the help

Dave
if you still need plugs try your Mazda dealer, i had the same problem starting
when i got the plugs out and saw how different to normal plugs they were i gave up the idea of cleaning and bought some more.

I have a UK T11 1991 and the plugs the owners book rec. are NGK BUR9EQ  all four plugs are the same for the uk. For none european it recommends:- leading [bottom ones] NGK BR9ET and trailing {top ones} NGK BR10ET
make a note of the plugs that come out a try and get the same if the car was running ok.

ps i told the man at the mazda garage in Cambridge i was a member of the mazda RX7 owners club and they gave me 15% off [worth a try]
