Hi

I\'ve got an Apexi Turbo Timer as shown in the not so great pictures. It does the battery reading, O2 stuff and of course turbo timer.

Thing is, it reads 0.30 at the moment but doesn\'t actually run the engine for 30 seconds.

Main question is: Does anyone have any English instructions/manual or can help me figure out how to work this thing or whether its faulty?

I had some luck randomly pushing the joystick and managed to get it to read 3.00 (which is what I prefer it at) but the timer LED kept flashing and when I restarted the ignition, just reset itself to 0.30 again.

Any help would be hugely appreciated so I don\'t have to look like a lemon sitting in the car for 3 minutes :)

Cheers

Gary

I\'ve got some english instructions!!

Will dig them out for you and put a post up! prob at some point tomorrow.

Sounds like its set on auto timer mode- it\'ll run a time that is right for it- basically if you took it out for a good run it\'ll set it self to a longer period depending how long ot thinks it needs to cool the turbo\'s down.

It can be over riden, cant remember how though off the top of my head.

That\'d be great thanks. I did take it out for a shortish run today. About 10 minutes - but did hammer the turbos for about the last 5 minutes once the oil temp was right. Still didn\'t cut in though :(

I\'d prefer a safe 3 minutes no matter what. Instructions would be awsome.

Thanks :)

Grinder- there are a few cheap ones on ebay. Also try Nengun- should be really cheap!! HTH

Instructions-

To set the unit. when in display mode and when parking brake is activated. Hold joystick right- this will activate setting mode for that parameter (A/F, o2, Min Battery, Countdown timer). The LED will flash to confirm setting mode. Hold left on joystick to end.

Setting After idling time-

Do as above to enter setting mode.
You can toggle between manual and auto mode by holding right on joystick.

Auto mode- display will read: 3n1

Has 3 mode H- high, n- normal, L- low.(moving right to left to select)
The high and low can be set in time using up and down.
Once set hold left to return to display mode.

Auto mode give the optimum countdown time.

Manual mode-

(again enter setting mode)
Display will read: 0.30
Toggle up and down to set time 0-10 mins,
once set hold left to return to display mode.

Hopefully you can make sense of that, PM me if not and I\'ll do my best to help!

Sorry to hijack but just thought I\'d mention to be careful when buying Apexi timers at the mo as apparently there are some fake ones around (usa).  Link below tells you how to spot the fake.

Excellent post - thanks.

Hopefully mine is genuine as I think it was on there from Japan - but I will measure at lunch when I try to set it up.

Very useful thanks.

Tried the instructions posted on here - didn\'t work :(

Set it to 3.00 and the engine still turned itself straight off. Turned it back on and let the engine cool down properly. Will read through these instructions and see if I\'ve missed anything, but its looking like its bust at the moment.

Thanks guys.

If you followed the instructions and the screen displayed as it should- sounds like it may not be wired in correctly or a connection has come loose!
