I have had both creaking ( http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24018) and knocking from the car and have been trying to find out what it is.

The creaking was from the nylon bushes which I have just fitted, and also it could be from a worn engine mount. So that side of things is ok.

The knocking is a diferent matter altogether. I have jacked up the car quite a few times and have been shaking and pulling on the wheel and hub, trying to find the clunk. I have also jacked up the car, and then jacked up under the lower arm, to get the wheel to it\'s operating position. Still no knocking. I have noticed it only happens WHEN HOT. I am reasonably sure it\'s not the anti sway bar links, or a ball-joint. Is there any possibility it could be the engine mount causing the knocking? I have also noticed the heat sheilding on the downpipe is a little loose, but I an not convinced it\'s enough to cause a clunk. The clunking is also only at low speeds.

Help me please! The clunking is driving me mad! I have just changed all of the bushes, and pillowballs and sorted out the rear clunking, and now this has started!

Thanks
