Help Please

went to pick up my FD today and its not firin. Apex RSM shows 12.3 volts on start up and 9.3 when tryin to kick over but nothin. A guys battery charger says the batt is in bad condition but it\'s not that old.
 Anything i should look or listen out for to say that it may be dead. Was runnin perfectly when it went in 2 weeks ago and i know he has not used it all so I\'m hopin elec. Goin to get AA out on mon to have a look over.
 Any ideas guys??? :confused:

was the battery fully charged when it was checked ?  it will tell you the battery\'s dead when it\'s tested anyway if not, also if the car has just been stood up check for a battery drain.(disconect earth lead put a ohm-meter between the battery term and earth lead on the car and see what current is being drawn ) or it could have been over charging before you left it , check the levels of the cell\'s on the battery and if there low make sure the alternator charging properly when you get it running. hope this will be some help
