mate it may be Ok if you got it started again,

have you checked the water level has it lost any water??

If there are bubbles coming up when running then it may be a water seal that has gone? (Which is not good)

There are many people that have had the same sort of problem on this forum with white smoke and they have sorted it without the rebuild,

best to seek profession advice from one of the good garages / tunners on this forum.

good luck dude. :)

MAP sensor connected?

Badly flooded? - does it/will it clear up if you take her out for a hard run? or pull plugs deflood and refit and try again...

Fingers crossed...

checked her this morning coolant low, i had topped this up yesterday before problem occoured. topped it up and got it started with a little trouble, when warmed up revs seem to be alittle higher than norm. no visable sign of coolant
loss anywhere, some white smoke still showing but nothing like last night. still
dont think this is looking good.

As Rich says, have you checked the MAP sensor?  It\'s on the bulkhead on the passenger side, should have a vacuum (pressure?) line to it.  Sometimes it pops off causing some issues.

Does the white smoke clear after a while?

Get it to your local rx specialist and let them check it over, hopefully not the worst, fingers crossed  :(

map sensor fine, coolant still disapearing even without using car. the coolant must be entering the engine as far as i can see to explan the loss and the white smoke suddenly.  help!!

Hi Clive,
It does sound like there is a major problem.
