Dont be to dissapointed if you cant get Tesco, its cheap and not consistant. Have spoken to 2 well informed guys and they recon you are just as well to stick with Optimax. Fill an every day car with diesel and see how far you go on tescos then other supplier, obviously you will need to replicate run as close as poss. Then work out cost per mile, see whos the cheapest per ltr then. I know one a guy that has tried it and was amazed at difference.

Thanks for that. I might just try that with my work van!

BTW, who does Tesco get their fuel from? I have always wondered that too

I dont know who makes it, most come from a small handful of refineries, but I guess we dont know how they are mixed to give us what pushed out for X £ at whatever pumps.
The bit about distance and diesel was during a conversation I had with a guy who tunes cars for a living, has had great sucess at racing and preps cars for winners, he has a run around deisel, and thats what he noticed, when he experimented for a while. He was lucky that he used his van every day on the same run.
