Revving when idle

Hi Guys,

Don\'t quite understand what\'s going on here. When sat in neutral or with clutch down, the revs are going up and down, i\'ve got a rev/speed meter that is showing that it is jumping from approx 1000 to 1300 revs.

Up and down, up and down for about 30 secs to a minute, then it clears back to 1000 again.

Doesn\'t seem to do it only first thing or if hot, seems more random.

Plus there seems to be a slight high pitch whistling sound from in front of passenger seat sometimes, that wasn\'t there when i first got the car, but i\'m not sure they\'re related.

Could i have an hole somewhere in a pipe or something???

had a prob with mine but went up and down in gear fine out off gear and with clutch down found out it was the clutch switch in side of car on cluth pedal
