Hi guys

I wanted to know if anyone had chnaged there existing clutch line from the standard mazda line to a braided hose. The reason why i ask is because my clutch doesn\'t feel right and sometimes will stick to the floor. I changed the slave cylinder hoping this would fix it but the problem is still there.

Any help or ideas would be great

Cheers Ant

Hi Mate

Posted on this some time ago, having done all sorts of mods on mine [including braided lines for the brakes] I was blissfully unaware the FD had a hydrolic clutch :eek.  One thing I would recommend to ANYONE who has modded there FD: replace this hose for a braided line, I wasted a whole day waiting to be recovered from the side of the road thinking how stupid I was not upgrading in the first place :reallymad

Ant, dont know the state of tune on yours but most likely you have air in the system, if the line splits you have no pressure, period and all the fluid is dumped on the floor which empties the brake resoviour so no brakes as well.

Hi mate cheers for the reply i have already had the contents of the resevoir empty on me before i had the slave cylinder changed. When i had my new clutch fitted the clutch would not work properly from the pedal so we got all the air out of the system but it still feels like it did before. I thought i read your post mate thats what jogged my memory.

Did you buy a kit to do the job or just buy the line on its own?

cheers for the help

Purchased a line from REworx £30 odd including delivery, simple enough job to replace, just wished I had known / realised when I was doing my brakes, just goes to show a well directed question when in the presents of those that know helps ;)
