Guys

On my FD I have a water leak, somewhere near the turbos I think. I have replaced the little rubber pipes that other people have had problems with, but the water is still disappearing.

I want to pump up the sytem and see if I can spot the leak. So, how do I do this, and to what pressure?

I have a spare boost gauge or two, and I can borrow a one way valve from the turbo control system, then use a syringe to pump it up.

Where do I put a t piece? Or can I pressurise it using the overflow pipe somehow?

Also, do our thermostats have a bypass hole? In other words , will I be pressurising the whole sytem even when the thermostat is closed?

Thanks for any comments!

Thanks Wizard but the link isnt working.

I have just read in the Mazda Factory service manual that you need to pump it up to 20 PSI to check for leaks. Is this correct?

What pressure does the cap open at? The Mazda FSM says 16- 20 PSI. So , if I pump it up to 15 I should be able to detect leaks, yes?

Didnt some models have a lower pressure cap specified? Which models are they, and can I put the lower pressure cap on my 92 R ?
