T2 Gearbox?

Yeh, I\'ll be very intrested to know the outcome.

Its something i\'ve toy\'d with for quite a while, My box has done 70k now and that with a twin palte and a bit of power is not helping.

You want to here it at the moment, With the Clutch in and the overlap on idle it sounds like i\'ve droped a bag of nails into the Box.:rolleyes:

Ok, Im getting a little :reallymad with my car now.

Who has the best reputation for rebuilding gear box\'s for Road/Track racing. I don\'t want to uprate it but from doing a bit of reading up i think the Syncro\'s are going if not gone. Also does anyone have any idea of what it will cost?

Its a real pain in the rear when you miss gears

Have you seen Justins car (the Black Fd we droped off) he has scamed a 60-1 of me, hes done well collected loads of goodies over the last year or so. Basicly that was the day it all starts to come together

I need to catch him when hes not up running about like a man Possesed. I was hoping to have a word when we droped Jus\'s car off but he looked stressed (and it was only 11ish) so i though don\'t confuse him.

When you say Bucks i presume thats US and then Shipping and Fitting etc?

No sorry, Pounds. I was hoping to get the engine out yesterday, as that is why i flew over, but they had an E type on the ramps so could not get it out. I did all the hard work for them though:D

i took my car to the bloke that built the box and he drove  it. when he came back he said "no i wouldnt be happy with that " :rollin :rollin :rollin  you gota laugh. the only way to check it is strip it again. i cant be arsed with it at the mo so it stays where it is. it cost 250 with all new bearings

Well an odd thing happened today, i\'ve had some solid engine mounts on the shelf (basicly did\'nt realy want to fit them becouse of the Vibration). I was messing about with the car at lunch and though ahh i\'ll stick them on see what there like? MINT!!!!! ok there is alot more vibration coming through the steering but the gear change is miles better!!! Out of pure intrest i had a real good look at my Engine mounts and there didn\'t seem anything wrong with them they where just letting the engine move to much i guess?

The thing is now my car has a Twin plate,Big ports (Overlap) and no PS its not very nice to drive at low speed. Putting a Manual rack on it will help but the engine mounts are tipping it over the road/track line.
