Hi everyone :wave

Does anyone know what the little stripes (could be wires) are which I have seen on a 2nd gen TII Japanese spec\'s windscreen?

There are two of them about 1" apart and they run vertically in the centre of the winscreen?  They can\'t be for a heated windscreen or anything daft can they?  They do look a bit like heated screen wires, except they are properly enclosed inside the two layers of the windscreen\'s glass!

I\'m fascinated, so if anyone knows please put me out of my misery :D

Many thanks
Lynn

Could be an radio ariel...? The FD imports have ariels built into the back screen to sort out the different frequencies in Japan to avoid interference..

Hi Donato

That\'s a very interesting thought!  What do they look like on the back windscreens then?  Like I\'ve described on this front one?

This is definately an original Japanese windscreen and just never seem anything like this ever before! :D

Thanks
Lynn

Hi Lynn,

On the FD they are thicker and not in the screen just on the surface. I might be completly wrong! Wouldnt be the first time :rollin it was more of a suggestion really. Hopefully someone will have an answer soon...
