Have you changed the springs on your Cabriolet?

Guys,
I need to change my spring/shocks on my 90 cab and I wanted to see if anyone has any experience of selecting springs. My car is sitting 1.5 inches lower on the rear diver side and the car is veering left. So far I have found Spax,Ventura and Apex all have springs availble in the UK for the 86-91 T2. That\'s fine but as I understand it the cabriolet rear springs are more heavy duty than the normal T2 springs due to the extra weight they need to carry. So I guess my question is has anyone put these springs in their convertible?

Racing Beat in the US sell specific cabriolet springs but I want to try to avoid international shipping as I also need shocks and that means mega shipping costs...

Thanks

Well i\'ve got Gmans old Cusco coil overs on my Vert with stock rims on.

Apart from it being VERY!!! Low it drives well.

If i was looking for Springs (Only)  i\'d be inquiring about the Tein lowering springs (I seem to remember somone on here sells them?) i have driven a car with stock struts and RB springs and to be quite honist i felt it was a little soft (kept bottoming out).

So if i was you i\'d be on the look out for a set of second hand Coil overs (money well spent in my opinion)

After doing some more snooping about it turns out that the cabs definitly do need stiffer springs in the rear than normal T2s. Mazdatrix have just delivered me a set of Racing Beat springs together with some Tokico shocks. Looks like I\'m in for a few evenings of cussing and skinned knuckles....

Chris - when you installed your coilovers did you need to get your wheels realigned?

If you change your ride hight then i\'d say yes you will have to check your Wheel alignment.

You may find the rear will be more out than the Ft. Depending on how much your springs drop it, you will need a Camber ajust bar you the rear (realy for anything over 25mm it too much Camber on the rear).

how much??

Thud

745 Dollars including shipping. I also tried Racing Beat but for some reason their shipping was 150% more expensive.
