I\'m getting a smell of fuel in the cabin when stationary with the engine running, disappears completely when on the move, doesn\'t reappear even when in full banzai attack mode.
I\'ve had a sniff around the UIM, nothing. I\'ve looked for leaks around the fuel lines, nothing. Anyone any ideas where it might be coming from? It\'s a  \'95 FD by the way, standard fuel system (for now!).

thanks,

Steve

hi mate....had a few cars in with similar problems....at the back of the engine drivers side close to the bulk head is a fuel pulsation damper...that pipe on there has a clip both sides...these can leak..check these ...you will need to remove the UIM.

Also check the Injectors and the hoses going to them, as they can leak too....However this can be a nightmare job as u will need to remove the rats nest to change the pipes...

Also down by the ABS pump check the fuel line in and out....make sure all clips are secure...Try running the fuel system indepedently from the diagnosis plug in the engine bay....bridge F/P and ground to activate the pump and look for any leaks....cheers ifty

Thanks Ifty,

I\'ve got a set of bigger injectors to put in so I\'ll be delving in there soon anyway. I\'ll let you know how I get on.

cheers,

Steve
