the car i\'m hopefully buying has an hks f-con pro v engine management system while most of you guys seem to run apexi systems. is there a reason for this? also i\'ve been told that only certified or approved hks specialists can work on the f-con v system.is that true? many thanks in advance...

most use the apexi as it has bee tried and tested on many cars most of the mappers prefer it..the f con can be used but u will have to find a mapper..i think tdi map these but not sure..apexi seems more user friendly

I\'ve got the F-con Pro V ecu on my RX at the moment, but am waiting on the arrival of an Apexi unit that i ordered from greenline.jp for £430 incuding paypal fees, plus they\'re marking it as a gift for me :D

I opted for the Apexi to replace the F con, as more of the rotary specialists are familiar with, and more than capable of mapping the unit.

I know Nemesis Performance can map the F con, but they\'re at the other end of the country to me, and a journey to Pip @ WGT is alot shorter LOL.

thanks for your comments boys. but i\'ve discovered luckily for me that TDI are HKS certified & have the best rolling road in the country.they are only 30 mins away from me in essex so cant see any reason not to use them.plus some of their project cars are unbelievable!!

Plus I have noticed TDI are very cheap :)

Is it an Fcon V or an Fcon V pro? One is old and very dated (the V) the other (in a gold box) is awesome, but time consuming to map. If I was you I would opt for Power FC and get one of the established rotary tuners to do the mapping. No disrespect to TDi but do they have a safe ignition map?
