Although my car is still in japan ..i already been think about the intercooler i want to go with my panspeed turbo as it is using a slight upgraded top mount now.

Is it goin to be more lag by using front mount??any1 with experience with the FMIC for the FC?

Or....the V-mount but no many places sell them...if there is..will be very expensive...wot u guys think??

Hi Sam
I have been having the same predicament of late. In an ideal world a vmount be the choice, but, after carefull consideration and recomendation a decent front mount will suffice.
If you take into account the amount of work needed to do the vmount it is huge, move the rad + make into an electric fan operation, make up a mount for the rad and change all coolant hoses. Then you have to mount the vmount and make up pipework, its a big task to say the least.
It was also pointed out to me that the amount of extra lag will be minimal and unless your looking to save a few hundreds of seconds on the strip or out of corners is it really necessary.
If you do go with a vmount though, i would love to see the install.:D

I already got an electric fan and a uprated radiator. so that may b easier for a v-mount.

For V mount i will also need a vented bonnet to vent the air out....that mean add all up to about 8-9 k for my FC which i can buy a single FD with engine rebuild:rolleyes:

but still.....................i dont know....:rollin

The Fmic v\'s Vmic has been descust for many a moon.

basicly it depends what you are going to use it for.

The Ft mount is the better way for a Drag car as it doen\'t suffer from heat soak as bad and it gets plenty of fast moving cold air. But it has a disadvantage, in the fact it slows the air down that passes through causing the rad to get reduced air flow and often the amount of pipe work will not help your boost responce as its further from the Turbo plus often harder to pipe (lots of bends etc)

The V mount is the best for motor sports where the car is not stopped for any length of time (such as Drag racing) this is due to the design where it has its own Ducted air flow and thus doesn\'t take any of the rads, but the Ic is often above the rad so it will suffer badly from heat soak at low speed or stationary (even though if properly ducted and heat shielded will be reduced).

Don\'t even go the SMIC route. :(
