this is one for carl

i believe that you should put a combination of the two together. something to do with port sizes.

The REW will be an easier install, as the Cosmo will require a lot of modifications to be made for stuff to fit.

We are talking the 3 rotor cosmo engine arent we?

The Cosmo also came with a 2 rotor twin turbo

The main problem fitting a cosmo 13b REW into an FD is that the engine mountings are in different positions.

IIRC the main differances are the size of the main intake ports are a lot larger (see pic)  , the turbo\'s were smaller and the exhaust ports are smaller and have diffusers in them.
The inlet manifolds are different also.

Most of these changes were made to improve torque (the Cosmo is a big car) and to make the engine more refined and quieter ( it is meant to be a luxury car afterall)

I\'ve probably got a few bits wrong here as I\'m typing this from memory of what I have read across about 4 different forums !!

 No,the 2 rotor Cosmo.

So what is the better motor?

t2rew

going on the thery that

torque wins races
and
bhp wins down the pub

i would go with the one with more torque but as i said you really want to use the pair to make a wicked engine. its either the rew housings and the cosmo side plates or the other way round. each has a bigger port on either inlet or exhaust so get the biggest of each engine ports and bolt them together.

big POWER

t2rew

ill try to get it up here but im not good so it might be worth you looking your self.

goto the technical section on here then anything engine/ prerf related and youll see this has come up before

MikeLMR

ahhh I knew I\'d read about it somewhere before :)
