Hi all,

Took my 92 FD to have a run on the local rolling road yesterday, have only had the car a month so I\'m just asking you experienced guys about the results.  The guy at the rolling road was quite pleased with the performance but I do have a question.... Why the dip in the boost? Is it something to do with the second turbo coming into play?

Thanks for you help in advance guys.

Mark.

Mark, yes the dip on the boost is due to the turbo swap over. It looks a little low on the primary boost (8psi) but nothing to much to worry about.

What mods does the car have? And was the car running lean at any point? This can be dangerous.

Here is the other graph Dan.

not an expert but should the lamda be that irratic?

Your fuelling really needs looking at Bud.

Looks a little too lean throughout, but its not good at high revs especially.

Looking at you lambda graph, that is a really nasty spike at the top end at about 6000 revs, where a/f goes really lean. Do not gun it till you have sorted it. It will pop.

Check your injector duty and your fuel pressure.

You need to be tuning to about 11.5:1 (0.78 lamdba) from low down until your peak torque figure, then you can lean off to about 12:1 (0.81 lambda) from there to rev cut.

To do this at the 1 bar boost figure, which you appear to be going for, you will need to look at improvements at the very least to fuel pump and injectors.

Check your fuel filter also.

disregard my 1 bar remark!

I misread the figures - doh!

your boost looks about stock - 10 psi / 0.7 bar

Thanks for that Max, I\'ll see about getting it sorted.  Is it best to take it to an RX 7 specialist or can a performance centre sort it?

I think the big spike at the end of the lambda graph was the probe falling out of the exhaust!!
